NEGOTIATION: FIRST AND FOREMOST:

Bob LaMonte, founder and President of PSR, orchestrates all negotiations for his clients. Contract negotiation is the cornerstone of PSR’s success. Each client deserves the best negotiator possible during this crucial process. Bob has negotiated over $950,000,000 in professional sports contracts in Major League Baseball, the National Basketball Association, the National Football League, and the Canadian Football League. In 1985 and 1997 respectively, Bob negotiated a $25 million dollar contract for Dave Stieb and a $49 million dollar contract for Pat Hentgen both with the Toronto Blue Jays. In 2006 he negotiated a multi-year, $77 million dollar contract for Chris Carpenter of the St. Louis Cardinals. Bob has negotiated contracts for Head Coach John Fox of the Carolina Panthers; Head Coach/Executive Vice President Andy Reid of the Philadelphia Eagles; Head Coach Brad Childress of the Minnesota Vikings; Head Coaches Mike Singletary of the San Francisco 49ers, Josh McDaniels of the Denver Broncos, Steve Spagnuolo of the St. Louis Rams and former Head Coach of the Seattle Seahawks, Jim Mora. Most recently, Bob has negotiated contracts for ESPN Analyst Monday Night Football Commentator, Jon Gruden; Cleveland Browns President, Mike Holmgren and General Manager, Tom Heckert; Offensive Coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs, Charlie Weis and Miami Dolphins Coordinator Mike Nolan. At the collegiate level, PSR represents Texas A&M University Head Football Coach, Mike Sherman. This makes Bob unique in that he represents coaches and executives in professional and collegiate sports, as well as a few select athletes. Since 1987, PSR has focused on representing coaches and management in order to avoid potential conflict of interest in representing both players and management.

MANAGING THE PRESENT

Signing the contract is just the beginning of Bob and Lynn’s commitment. They have a special relationship with each individual. They keep abreast of all developments, both on and off the field, which may affect the client’s performance. They are the chief advisors and confidantes of PSR’s clients on a 24-hour basis, thus assisting the individual to develop his or her full potential.

During the season, Bob and Lynn concentrate on minimizing distractions, making sure all business needs are met. Media and press relations, shoe and apparel contracts, personal appearances, television and radio shows, automobile endorsements, apartment/house hunting, insurance questions, limited edition lithographs, and book deals are among the many business needs addressed.

PLANNING THE FUTURE

Our clients are at the peak of his or her lifetime earning power, making careful financial and professional planning today essential. When a client retires, he or she will be prepared to make the financial and personal adjustment for tomorrow.
